About the wine

Rosso di Montalcino comes from the same high-class vineyards as the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino. The Lisini family cleverly uses this flexibility to decide during harvesting and maturing which wine is marketed under the name “Rosso di Montalcino”. In contrast to Brunello, Rosso is subject to less strict requirements, as it does not have to meet a minimum ripening period of four years. This makes it possible to make wine available earlier, but still reflects the quality and characteristics of the famous terroir.
