Tasting note
Deep, intense ruby red. On the nose, this LBV bewitches with powerful aromas of crushed red fruits, sweet berries and subtle spices. On the palate, it is rich and elegant at the same time, characterized by notes of ripe fruit, raisins and fine notes of spices. The velvety tannin structure creates harmony and carries the wine into a long-lasting, delightful finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with strong cheese, desserts with chocolate or dried fruit and is also a wonderful way to end a festive meal.
Vinification
The vinification is traditionally carried out with selective handpicking of the grapes, which are then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the LBV port ages in large oak barrels for four to six years.
