About the wine

Before Giovanni Negro, current managing director, joined the history of Negro Angelo & Söhne, there was another figure who left their mark and their name. In 1670, Giovanni Dominico Negro, son of Audino, owned a house with an oven, a courtyard, a cellar and rows of vines, in exactly the same place where the Perdaudin estate is located today. This historical memory, recorded in the archives of the municipality of Monteu Roero, remains an indelible trace of a past that only exists in the chronicles. Between Monteu Roero and Canale, where the hills stretch majestically towards the sun, lie the vineyards and cellars of the Negro Angelo and Sons winery, almost fifty hectares under vines, with the local and traditional wine varieties being privileged: Arneis, Favorita, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Bonarda and Brachetto.
