About the wine
The family business Zenato has its soul on Lake Garda, but its heart beats in neighboring Valpolicella. It was Sergio Zenato who revived the forgotten Ripasso della Valpolicella in the 90s.
Tasting note
Color: Deep, dense, almost black cherry red. Aroma: Fresh, fruity bouquet of ripe cherries, spices, flowers and a hint of walnuts. Character: Extremely dense and full-bodied on the palate. Incredibly round, velvety wine with rich, complex berry aromas and an impressively long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with vegetable casserole, hot or cold poultry, potato gratin, as well as ribs.
Vinification
Ageing in French barriques for 18 months, aged in bottles for 6 months.
