About the wine
The origin of Hacienda El Ternero dates back to 1077, when it was part of the Santa María de Herrera Monastery. The winery in the heart of the hacienda has buildings from the 17th, 18th and 19th century, which in the past served as a monastery, barracks, school and hospital for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. In the middle is the Hacienda El Ternero chapel, which is still open today and watches over the patron saint, the Virgen de la Pera.

Tasting note
Notes of dark berries (blackberry, cassis) and spicy woody aromas. Fresh, fruity and round in the mouth. Very elegant Storable red wine from a limited edition.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with tortilla, migas (crumbled bread with various ingredients such as meat, cold cuts or vegetables), but also with exclusive pieces of meat.
Vinification
Mash fermentation for 15-20 days. Malolactic fermentation partly in barriques. The wine then matures for 18 months in new French oak barriques.
