About the wine
Wine has always been cultivated on the land owned by the Puelles family. But by the middle of the 20th century, the Puelles were a family of millers and only the current owners, Félix and Jesús, focused the company entirely on viticulture and made the millstone the “trademark” of the company. The basis for the success of the Rioja region was phylloxera, which had put an end to viticulture in Europe in the 19th century. The products from the newly planted vineyards, including those from Puelles, could therefore be exported right from the start and quickly found many international fans.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red. On the nose, ripe fruit aromas and woody notes. Excellent structure on the palate with a good balance between fruit, tannins and perfectly integrated wood notes. A wine with character and elegance and a soft aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red and grilled meats, roasts, lamb, poultry and soft cheese.

18 months in barriques (80% French and 20% American oak)
