Rioja DOCa Crianza Real Agrado 2020 - Viñedos de Alfaro

The entry-level wine Rioja Crianza is an excellent calling card; a wine with style, character and substance. It already expresses that this is an author's wine, that there is unity between viticulture and winery, that the grapes are processed, pressed, matured and marketed by the winery itself. This is rarely the case in Spain, even in Rioja. The grapes (in Crianza 50% Garnacha and 50% Tempranillo) come from our own vineyards and are the result of strict selection. Real Agrado produces on average just 2700 liters of wine per hectare instead of the permitted 4500 liters. The rest is sold to the surrounding trade. Rioja Crianza matures for a good year in French and American oak barrels. It is incredibly rich in substances and has a rich aroma with notes of ripe berries and spices. On the palate, there is a rich extract with very fine tannins and well-dosed acidity.
