The winemaker from the Spanish winery Viñedos de Alfaro is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
The Viura grapes (100%) come from the old vineyard created in 1980 with the classic, bush-shaped vines. The freshly pressed grape must is fermented at a cool temperature so that the carbonic acid produced by fermentation does not remove the delicate aromas from the wine. This preserves a maximum of fresh berry notes. The Rioja Blanco REAL AGRADO features an enchanting mix of aromas that are reminiscent of citrus fruits. On the palate, the saltiness and aromatic persistence that can only be achieved from old vines are noticeable. The wine should be drunk young, but thanks to the well-integrated acidity, it can also retain its vivacity for a few years.
Culinary recommendation
This white wine is ideal as an aperitif and goes well with light appetizers, fish dishes, seafood and salads.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and aromatic intensity of the wine.
