About the wine

Pünderich is an idyllic village in the Bernkastel area on the Moselle. In 1975, Clemens joined the family business and, together with his wife Rita, has been processing the 10-hectare estate in accordance with ecological guidelines since 1984. Her youngest son Johannes is also back on board after several experiences in various winegrowing businesses. The wines of the Buschs come from the Marienburg area. In order to highlight the characteristics of the wines and to respect the respective soil conditions, they produce the wines from different plots separately. By carefully processing the grapes and without using finening agents, the entire aroma of the grape juice is preserved. With the help of natural yeasts, the wines sometimes ferment for ten months and the subsequent aging usually takes place in traditional fuder barrels (oak barrels of 1000 l capacity). They are all independent, characterful plants with a dense and mineral appearance and a strong connection to their respective terroir. With their independent and characterful wines, some of which have great aging potential, the Buschs have been part of Germany's wine elite for a long time.
