About the wine
Weingut Dr. Loosen has been family-owned for over 200 years. When Ernst Loosen took over the winery in 1988, he quickly realized that he had the opportunity to produce unique and large Rieslings with the estate's roots, which are between 60 and 100 years old and are located in the most famous vineyards on the Moselle. Ernst Loosen is convinced that great wines come from great passion. We want to produce wines that tempt you to enjoy, that are concentrated and complex and that reflect their origin in an unmistakable way.

Tasting note
Clear and precise on the nose with exotic spicy aromas. Dense and concentrated on the palate, yet clear and very elegant with a nice interplay of fruit, spice and mineral structure.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected, overripe grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. The fermentation process is stopped prematurely by cooling, so that a certain residual sweetness remains in the wine.
