About the wine
The Schönleber family has been growing wine for 250 years and cultivates the vines in Monzing's prime locations with passion and commitment. Their wines reflect the exceptional terroir and are therefore particularly characterful.

Tasting note
This year, the Halgans is compact, dark and influenced by the terroir. Very complex and delicate thanks to the mature acidity. Fine phenolic, great structure, yellow-fruited and exotic.

Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in large wooden barrels (partly spontaneous fermentation). The wine is then stored on fine lees in large oak barrels throughout the winter before being bottled in spring.
