About the wine
The Grans Fassian winery was founded in 1624 by the Grans and Fassian families in Leiwen on the Moselle, the oldest German wine region, and has long been one of the absolute top German wine producers. In 1982, the passionate winemaker Gerhard Grans took over the business from his father Matthias and expanded the vineyard area from 4 hectares to 13 hectares. With his tireless desire for greater precision and refinement, he turned Grans-Fassian into a top company, which has received prestigious awards from year to year.

Tasting note
Deep and masculine on the nose with aromas of orange, gooseberries, spices and black tea. Great structure, lots of extract, delicate acidity and a long, complex finish.

Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are subjected to a long maceration period. It is then gently pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at around 15°C under temperature control. After being stored on fine yeast, the wine is bottled and sold.
