About the wine

Working in winegrowing on a part-time basis since 1890, the Knoll family has dedicated themselves entirely to viticulture in Würzburg since 1980 and has since set accents in the Franconian wine-growing region with their joy of experimentation, wines and, last but not least, architectural features. The winery (VDP member since 2001) includes 25 ha. Many steep slopes are sometimes so densely planted that every job there is carried out by hand - and that is a lot in biodynamic viticulture, where all chemical “helpers” are dispensed with. With Ludwig Knoll and Dominik Diefenbach, there is also the courage to refrain and experiment in the cellar, e.g. the expansion in concrete and amphorae, the detailed selection of wood. This is modern, new ways in harmony with nature! Independent and direct wines, individualists with a good soul, for and not against. Great personalities — who are now finally available in Switzerland!
