Tasting note
This Riesling is pale straw yellow. The nose is dominated by aromas of citrus fruits, ripe stone fruit and a hint of yeast. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with concentrated bright fruit aromas, a juicy acid structure and a mineral touch. A dry Riesling with lots of draft and wonderful finesse.
Vinification
The grapes for this Riesling come from vines of an average age of 35 years from various locations around Orschwihr. After manual harvesting, the grapes are sorted again at the winery and then gently pressed. The juice is then fermented with natural yeasts at cool temperatures. Yeasts are aged in steel tanks.
