Tasting note
Richebourg is majestically rich, with richness in flavor and structure. The enormous power, which is paired with great fruit depth and masses of polished, elegant tannin, is remarkable. The aroma is amazing, complex and intense. Nevertheless, the wine is fresh and light-footed. The best burgundries are famous for this elegance.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with duck, game.
Vinification
The vinification takes place in enamelled concrete and wooden vats. This is followed by cold maceration (5°C) for about 3 to 5 days with gentle pumping. The tanks are then heated to 25-30°C for more than 10 days. Richebourg ages in 100% new barrels for an average of 18 months. The wood for the oak barrels comes mainly from the Chatillonais and Fontainebleau forests.
