This present Tempranillo 2014 — Reserva Montelaguna Ribera del Duero DO crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Spanish winery Dehesa Valdelaguna masters this red wine in the picturesque and enchanting landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). Tasting note
Wonderful bouquet of black cherries, pickled wild berries, graphite, precious woods and moist leather. On the palate, it delights with notes of juicy black fruit, chocolate and fresh vanilla beans. It is powerful, complex, mineral and rich with a very distinct Ribera del Duero terroir. The finale is complex with excellent length.
Culinary recommendation
It goes wonderfully with lamb dishes, pasta al forno and cheese. But also with a charcuterie plate or just because!
Vinification
22 days of maceration at controlled temperature, alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, biological acid degradation in barriques. 20 months of aging in French and American barrels. One is a very limited production, only 3,100 bottles are produced!
