With the fine Regina VIDES Vina Sastre from 2015, you will positively surprise your guests. The winemaker from the Spanish winery Vina Sastre is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the magnificent and picturesque landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon).

Tasting note
Regina Vides is actually the second wine from Pesus, but is in no way inferior to it. The only difference is that Regina Vides is 100% Tempranillo, while Pesus also uses a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is also significantly cheaper than the Pesus. Regina Vides is usually rated by the trade press with over 95/100 points (JG 2005 — Parker 95/Wine Enthusiast 98). An incredibly finesse, dense, complex wine with high aging potential and absolute cult status.

Goes well with hearty meat dishes, lamb, beef, game, gala diners
Vinification
The grapes for Regina Vides come from mostly over 80 years old vines from the same 3 plots as Pesus. Two of them have clay-rich limestone soil and one plot has gravel soil. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine is aged in French barriques for 18 months before being stored in a further bottle.
