About the wine
Dalva is a brand of the over 100 years old winery C. da Silva (Vinhos) Sarl in Vila Nova da Gaia. It has a few quintas on the middle reaches of the Douro, and its cellars store over 4,000 pipes of port wine.

Plums, elderberry, spicy, full and elegant
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with blue cheese, raw ham, melons
Vinification
The young wine was stopped with noble brandy at an alcohol content of 3%. Vintage port are only made in particularly good years. This wine was bottled after about two years.
