About the wine
This Recioto was aged in oak barrels for two years. A common name, especially around Verona in the Veneto region, for a sweet wine that dates back to the Raeticum — an ancient Roman wine. The grapes are placed in special wooden boxes to dry and dried on racks in airy halls (known as appassimento) for four to six months.

Tasting note
Deep, excellent garnet red. Scent of ripe fruit, caramel and chocolate. Full-bodied, sweet and velvety on the palate. Warm, rich body. It sounds sweet and persistent.
Culinary recommendation
A delicious red dessert wine. To be enjoyed alone, or with sweet pastries or as the end of a dessert.
