About the wine
Rare Champagne r has represented the best vintages in the most exclusive form since 1976. With Millésime 2008, this top-class champagne is only on the market for the 11th time. The uniqueness of the vintage and the vast experience of winemaker Régis Camus result in a champagne with an unmistakable character and an almost endless longevity.

Tasting note
On the nose with notes of orange blossom, coconut, Williams pear and almonds. The Rare Champagne signature is revealed in the second bouquet: The salty minerality fluctuates between an iodic-smoky balance and a hint of licorice. On the palate, the aromatic sensations multiply: accents of freshly cut pineapple, passion fruit, kiwi and coconut, nuanced with sparkling citrus notes. The finish with remarkable mineral notes continues the journey into a clear, endless spring.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with beluga lentils or grilled lobster.
Vinification
The 70% Chardonnay comes from Villers-Marmery, Trépail, Avize and Chouilly, the 30% Pinot Noir from Verzy and Verzenay. This is how Rare combines various, great terroirs into a unique masterpiece
