Tasting note
Ramiro's — a 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) from Castilla y León: Powerful — expressive — modern: a successful combination of ripe fruit and barrique: Its intense and complex bouquet is reminiscent of amarena cherry, blackberry and blood orange to clove, cinnamon and coconut to chocolate. Opulent, generous and very silky — qualities that characterize his body. An impressive Spaniard with a long final!
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Der Wein sollte in diesem Zeitraum genossen werden: 3-20 Jahre nach der Ernte.
Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Das von Hand gelesene Traubengut stammt aus sorgfältig ausgesuchten Kleinstparzellen aus den Zonen Toro und Ribera del Duero. Die Trauben werden mit einer Korbpresse aus Aluminium schonend gepresst und anschliessend einer Maischestandzeit von 15 Tagen unterzogen. Während der Vergärung wird der Most täglich überpumpt, um eine bessere Extraktion zu erhalten. Der Ausbau findet in zu 80 % neuen französischen und 20 % neuen amerikanischen Barriques statt. Die Abfüllung erfolgt nach 28 Monaten Ausbau ohne Schönung und Filtration.
