About the wine
We have a special, snappy Aglianico from 2006 for you, which is enthralling many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from the Italian winery Mastroberardino is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing countryside of Campania. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Aglianico is excellent with fried potatoes or beef tartare.

Tasting note
Ruby red. Wonderful scents of plums, raspberries, wild cherries and roasted almonds, including herbal nuances. Strong, concentrated body with present tannins, which show the full potential and finesse of this magnificent wine after a certain aging period. Its robust framework makes it ideal for long storage.

Goes well with steak or lamb.
Vinification
Mastroberardino presses its famous Taurasi varietal from the ancient, late-picked Aglianico grape. After maceration in stainless steel tanks, the young wine ages for twelve months in large oak barrels and barriques. It then refines in the bottle for a further twelve months.
