Tasting note
The Touriga Nacional is dark ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, fruity aromas of blackcurrants, plums and blueberries paired with spicy notes of coffee and sweet spices inspire. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, again very fruity and spicy with a bit of black olive, pleasant acidity and velvety tannins. A very harmonious and accessible Douro wine with a long-lasting black fruit aftertaste.

Vinification
Touriga Nacional grapes come from vines up to 70 years old and are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in steel tanks. The wine is then also aged in steel tanks for a further 6 months on the lees before it is bottled and continues to be stored in the bottle. The first vintage produced was in 2016, and a total of only 4000 bottles are filled annually.
