Tasting note
Deeper tawny color. Fine and spicy notes on the nose similar to sherry oloroso. Caramel tones are also clearly noticeable. A dry-sweet touch on the palate is perceptible penetrating. Appearing corpulent and concentrated, this white port ends extremely long-lasting.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed and macerated cold for a few hours. This gives the wine its typical golden color. Later, the drain juice is pumped into the traditional granite lagares where it is fermented with natural yeasts at low temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures using a solera system in old 550l wooden tanks.
