Tasting note
A man of will and taste. Generous, initially dark, rich fruit, warm tones, tobacco, chocolate, then increasingly relaxed, fresh, mountain herbs and slate. On the palate with a nice game, cheerful at the beginning, it also shows its distinctive side, firm structure and strict features - after a while: benevolent and with lots of charm. Exciting character and great accompaniment to fried meat.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Quinta da Costa das Aguaneiras Vinho Tinto goes perfectly with barbecues, pasta and tapas.
Vinification
Very low returns. Selective harvesting by hand, tamped with feet, fermentation in granite tanks and up to 5 to 10% in steel tanks to preserve the purity and freshness of the fruit. The majority of the aging takes place in new and used French barriques.
