About the wine

In the heart of the Alentejo region, on the slopes of Vidigueira, is Quinta do Quetzal with 50 hectares of vines. As collectors and sponsors of contemporary art, the owners, the Dutch De Bruin family, want to share their passion for Portuguese art, nature, food and wine. The winery was inaugurated in 2006 and operates entirely according to the concepts of “modernity” and “gravity”. It all starts at the highest point of the winery and ends in the cellar, so that gravity can be used to transport the wines. The top winery is managed with passion by Swiss Reto Jörg. The microclimate and unique, slate-rich terroir enable Quinta to produce a limited production of wines from high-quality grapes that perfectly express the character of their environment.
