About the wine
The success story of Rocche dei Manzoni begins in 1974, when Valentino and Jolanda Migliorini left their Michelin-starred restaurant and purchased an 8th century farm in Monforte d'Alba in a prime location. With a lot of passion and “lavoro da certosino”, intensive work, they turned it into a model product whose reputation has become an integral part of the wine world. Their philosophy is the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. Rocche dei Manzoni today produces a range of high-quality wines, sparkling and dessert wines as well as grappes in five locations, which are famous far and wide.

Tasting note
This rich, balanced, sustainable red wine is black red with some purple reflections. Its quite strong bouquet is of a certain complexity and consists of berry fruit (blackberry, cassis) and stone fruit (cherry, plum) as well as some dried fruit (raisin, dried plum). Roasted notes of chocolate, smoke and toast as well as a touch of clove and vanilla complement the variety of aromas. The palate is enchanted by velvety tannins and a harmonious, soft and full structure.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with pasta with meat, beef with dark sauces, grilled or fried and with veal with dark sauces.
