Tasting note
The Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru appears in the glass in bright golden yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, fine and complex aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, ripe apples and a touch of exotic fruit develop, accompanied by subtle toasted notes and nutty notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant and precise, with balanced freshness, mineral depth and creamy texture. The long, finely nuanced finish is characterized by finesse, salty minerality and subtle spiciness — an expression of pure elegance.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with fine fish dishes, seafood, lobster, scallops, veal with light sauce or fine soft cheeses such as brie or chaource.
Vinification
The Chardonnay grapes are carefully harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, around 25-30% of which are new. The wine is then aged on fine lees for around 12 months, which gives it structure, complexity and longevity.
