About the wine
For Valentine's Day, we recommend the provocative Grenache 2020 — Priorat DOQ! To get a feel for the barren landscape aesthetics in Catalonia, there is no way around this red wine, which the Spanish winery Laurentia masters with a keen sense of texture. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this grenache with spicy food or spicy dishes.
Tasting note
The Laurentia is an uncomplicated and easy-to-drink priory with a great mix of power, fruit and freshness. Fine bouquet of cherries, blackberries and plums, plus dark flowers, pepper and delicate roasted aromas. On the palate, the wine is juicy, mouth-filling and strong, while at the same time showing a typical Priorat freshness with fine tannins. Here, too, exquisite fruit aromas of plums and fresh blackberries come into their own, plus balsamic notes and some Mediterranean herbs. Medium-length, harmonious finale with a nice balance of power and elegance.

Vinification
Grapes from several plots with slate soils at 400—700 m above sea level; aging for 9 months in French barriques.
