About the wine
Grand-Puy Ducasse was considered an “underdog” for many years alongside his glamorous neighboring houses, Mouton-Rothschild and Lafite-Rothschild. Since the successful personality Anne de Naour took over the management of the winery, the winery has undergone a major transformation and the result is wines of excellent quality, which are now more than just an insider tip. The Prelude is, as the name suggests, the perfect introduction to the big world of the great Pauillac Châteaux for us. There is no more Médoch style for a comparable price!

Tasting note
Dense purple together with an impressive display of blackcurrants, liquorice, forest soil and graphite, medium to full body, a strong personality, lots of pure, sweet fruit, an enticing texture and a long finish with supple tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine meat dishes or braised vegetables with Mediterranean spices.
