Pouilly-Loché le Bourg 2022 - Domaine Marcel Couturier

Marcel Couturier's small estate, located in Fuissé, was recently chosen by Robert Parker as the new Chardonnay icon of the Mâconnais! This elegant burgundy comes from over 50-year-old vines that are cultivated organically. Its inviting bouquet is typical of a Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune, as it is reminiscent of tropical aromas of pineapple and passion fruit as well as grapefruit and spicy lemon verbena, which, after a while in the glass, develop further and combine with the delicate roasted aromas of the wood, so that delicate almond and hazelnut notes are added. On the palate, Le Bourg has an animating melt, precise acidity, generous yellow fruitiness and exciting minerality. A white burgundy with good aging potential, but which is also a pleasure to eat at a young age, provided it is carafed.
