The winemaker from the Italian winery Masi Serego Alighieri absolutely masters his craft. Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red Warm, concentrated bouquet, reminiscent of sour cherries. On the palate, varied, fruity aromas with notes of fully ripe cherries, red currants and plums. Well-balanced, of medium stature and with soft tannins and elegant acidity. Winning final.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta or meat.
Vinification
Separate grape harvest and mash fermentation. The young wines are assembled, aged for twelve months in wooden barrels (3/4 of them in 600 l cherry wood barrels) and refined in the bottle for a further three months.
