About the wine

Thanks to the friendship of Federico Giuntini and the owner of Villa di Petrognano, Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, Selvapiana was able to lease 6 hectares of vineyards. Pomino is a historic wine region, beautifully situated on the slopes of the Appennines, on the border of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. As early as 1716, the Grand Prince of Tuscany, Cosimo III DeMedici, passed a law to protect the most important wine regions. Pomino was one of the top four, together with Chianti Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore.
