About the wine
The Pla del Lladoner is a “vin de finca” — a real farm wine. The Porcioles-Buixó family also runs cattle breeding and agriculture. The manageable size of the vineyard allows careful manual work from harvest to bottling. The Pla del Lladoner Costers del Segre DOP matures in an elaborate bâtonnage process, in which the yeast is stirred up again and again, which makes this wine so wonderfully round and creamy. A dream of a white wine.

Tasting note
Pale straw yellow with golden reflections. Complex and elegant on the nose with aromas of tropical fruits such as banana, melon and pineapple, along with hints of flowers and dried fruits. Expansive and full-bodied on the palate, with perfectly dosed acidity and apple, melon and honey aromas. In the aftertaste, toast and caramel.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with fish and seafood, pasta or rice, especially risotto. Goes well with mild cheeses.
Vinification
Some of the grapes are fermented unpressed in new French oak barrels. The rest in small steel tanks. It then matures for 5 months on the lees (sur lie) in the bâtonnage process until bottling.
