About the wine
Elvidio Alessandri has created a true gem for himself with his estate of just 11 hectares. When his 93 acronym received the 'tre bicchieri' from the 'Gambero Rosso, 'people became aware of the small winery in southern Marche. Alessandri took charge of selling these exceptional wines himself. In the cellar, he is advised by successful oenologist Fabrizio Ciufoli. Boccadigabbia was once one of the “hundred estates” of Civitanova, which were under the rule of Napoleon. All estates and manors in this area still wear and honor the capital N in their coat of arms.

Tasting note
Rich purple red, intense scent of wild berries, chocolate and spices, voluminous body with slightly sweet tannins, very warm and long aftertaste. It is only produced in very small quantities.

Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: PIX Merlot IGT passt ideal zu Geflügel, leicht scharfem, rotem Fleisch und Ente. Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Der Wein sollte in diesem Zeitraum genossen werden: Jetzt bis 2023.
Vinification
After fermentation and maceration on the skins, the pix is placed in new barriques for malolactic fermentation, where it rests for 12 to 15 months.
