About the wine
Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer, also known as Pittis, cultivate approx. 20 ha of vines (95% red and 5% white) around the municipality of Gols in Burgenland. Gerhard took over the company from his parents in the early 90s and, in just a few years, has managed to turn the company from a small no-name company into one of the region's up-and-coming producers. The Pittis have a creative approach to viticulture and its products.

Tasting note
Strong ruby red color. On the nose, lots of black fruits, intense blackberry aromas, underlined with fine pepper tones. Robust and rich on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with pizza and pasta, but also with beef, game, lamb, duck and goose.
