About the wine

Lux Vina stands for the best wines from the Domaines Chevaliers winery. Patrick Z'Brun and his winemaker Christian Gfeller have selected the most outstanding vineyards for this purpose. In some cases, old, hard-to-reach terraces were revitalized and dry stone walls were restored. The oldest Lux Vina vines are well over 50 years old and produce small yields but extremely complex grapes. Lux Vina is intended to provide an adequate stage for the incredible quality potential of these vineyards, which lie on calcareous and rocky soils between Salgesch and Chamoson. Seven wines impressively demonstrate how the fascinating light of the Alps allows wines with very specific origins to grow. The Vins des Chevaliers brand, which has been established for many decades, is of course retained and continues to stand for reliable quality. Rooted, high-quality, pioneering — that is Lux Vina from Domaines Chevaliers.

Tasting note
Medium ruby red. Not lightweight, it stands confidently and stably in the glass, showing ripe aromas of cherry and tobacco. A wonderfully silky tannin structure and seductive vanilla tones from barriques. Behind the elegant cut of Pinot Noir “Clos de Pachje”, you can assume that the soil is limestone. A ruler with a grand appearance, flowing robes and a strong personality.
Culinary recommendation
Vinification
