About the wine
The Caves du Chateau d'Auvernier are idyllically situated on Lake Neuchâtel. Our own vines grow on around 16 hectares, plus a further 24 hectares, which cultivate the caves themselves, as well as 20 hectares from winegrowers, some of whom the house has worked with for generations. The vines grow on a terroir similar to that in Burgundy: light to medium-heavy limestone soils ranging from 40 cm to 3 m down to rocky ground. The winery compensates for the slightly southerly location than in Burgundy and the balanced temperatures due to the proximity to the lake with altitudes of around 100 m higher than its French relatives.

Tasting note
The nose is dominated by aromas of exotic fruits such as mango or papaya. A dry and aromatic start. As a white wine, it appears broad and full-bodied. Very rich in extracts and rich in content.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled or fried fish.
