Tasting note
Giuseppe Benanti is the “inventor” of DOC Etna and, one of the first to start professional viticulture at the volcano. Its reds are already legendary, and the white Pietra Marina is considered one of the three greatest white wines in Italy among connoisseurs. The Carricante grape variety is found almost exclusively on Etna. The vines are close together on volcanic, mineral-rich soil. The aging takes place exclusively in steel tanks, for 24 months on fine yeast.
