About the wine
Bodegas Bhilar is a boutique winery in Elvillar, Rioja Alavesa, run by David Sampedro and Melanie Hickman. Their goal is to make terroir wines with soul, respect the land, work only with local grapes and share their unique wines with good people with positive energy.

Tasting note
Balsamic notes of wild and aromatic herbs mingle with delicately scented flowers and a touch of nuts. On the palate, it shows very fine, polished tannins. Very good shelf life.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with hearty dishes, pot roasts and game dishes.
Vinification
Handpicked, then fermented with stems. The aging takes place over 6 years in barriques.
