From a small, artisanal garage business to a top winery with worldwide cult status. The success story of a family from the picturesque town of Suvereto. More than thirty years ago, Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti acquired the land of today's Tua Rita winery to enjoy their pension in peace and quiet in idyllic Suvereto and pursue their passion — cultivating land. At that time, the couple was probably not yet aware of the worldwide fame their wines would achieve in just a few years. Redigaffi 2000, a single-varietal Merlot, was the first Italian wine to be awarded 100 out of 100 points by Robert Parker and Wine Spectator and is still considered one of the best Merlots of all today. But this is far from over. Pure Syrah, the Bordeaux blend Giusto di Notri and the Rosso dei Notri base wine (a 50/50 blend of the typical Sangiovese grape with the international Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah grapes) are also excellent top wines. Despite cult status and worldwide fame, the winery remains true to its original ideals to this day and is continued by son-in-law Stefano Frascolla and daughter Simena.
