About the wine
In the 1980s, he sold luxury labels in the USA. He then went to Bordeaux to satisfy his thirst for oenological knowledge. Andrea Franchetti finally came to Val d'Orcia in the early nineties, where he laid the foundation stone for his wine project near the village of Sarteano, which he pursued with extreme consistency from the very beginning. Since the premiere with the fruits of the year 1995, which was still experimental, Andrea has not let up in his efforts to create drops that, intensely and so concentrated that you almost have to chew them, are at the very top.

Tasting note
Rich ruby with a black core. Intense and inviting nose with notes of cocoa, blackberry, plum and fine spices. Dense and concentrated on the palate, very lush, grippy, hearty tannin, intense aromas of blackberries and tobacco in the long finale.
Vinification
After fermentation in steel tanks for 13 days, the wine matures for 8 months in new French oak, then for a further 11 months in cement tanks.
