About the wine
The story of Shafer Vineyards begins in 1972 when, after a career as a publisher, John Shafer moved with his family to Napa Valley and bought 85 hectares of land. Shafer is still a family business led by cool, smart Doug Shafer. Doug produces uncompromisingly and masterfully at the quality level of a Premier Cru and is also dynamic and exemplary in organic/ecological matters. The Shafers' Cabernet Sauvignon One-Point-Five honors the long and fruitful collaboration between father John and son Doug. With its fantastic wild berry fruit and distinctive tobacco notes, it shows outstanding class.

Tasting note
Delights with a deep, intense color and aromas of blackcurrants, cherries and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with ripe tannins and a fine spiciness. Delicate notes of vanilla and oak give it added complexity. The wine has a long, elegant finish that perfectly reflects the power and refinement of Napa Valley.
