About the wine
The calcareous, loamy soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Pinot Noir. The winemaker from the French winery Bouchard Père et Fils knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. We have a special, dominant Pinot Noir from 2009 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Tasting note
Aromas of black cherries, ripe plums and a touch of nougat. On the palate, it shows a complex dark fruit, prominent tannins and a mineral note. The aftertaste is delicately astringent and appears somewhat over-extracted, which indicates a high storage potential.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with grilled meat, game dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After fermentation, the wine ages in barriques for 16 to 18 months, with 45% of the barrels being new, 40% one year old and 15% aged in amphoras.
