About the wine
The Nero di Gio was created specifically as an homage to the founder of “Cielo e Terra” Giovanni Cielo. Giovanni Cielo bought a small winery in front of the “Romeo and Juliet” castles as the cornerstone of today's “Cielo e Terra”. He originally created wines mainly blends from various regions of Italy. Famiglia Cielo, which still owns a winery in both northern and southern Italy today, wanted to revive this tradition with the Nero di Gio. It combines the richness of the south with the fruitiness of the north to create a new high-quality red blend. The Nero di Gio is a wine that Giovanni would have wished for.

Tasting note
A full-bodied and smooth red wine with aromas of ripe cherries, dark berries and fine spiciness. Soft, round and harmonious on the palate with soft tannins and a long, spicy finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with spicy pasta dishes, grilled meat, lamb stew or mature hard cheese. Also ideal with dark chocolate or Mediterranean cuisine.
