The winemaker from the Italian winery Romaldo Greco is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
The grapes for this single-varietal Negroamaro come from around 18-year-old vines. After alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, it is aged in barriques for 15 months. The rich bouquet features notes of black cherries, blackberries, and ripe plums, spiced with notes of mocha, tobacco and a soft touch of cinnamon. Strong structure on the palate, showing ripe fruit, in turn inviting spiciness and well-integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy pasta dishes or spicy stone oven pizza, but also with grilled steaks or lamb with herbs and garlic.
