Tasting note
This cuvée shines in a bright cherry red with a garnet red edge. The nose shows an aromatic potpourri of blackberries, plums, dried fruits, tobacco, black tea and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and dense, with lots of dark fruit aromas, notes of dried fruit, velvety tannins, well-integrated acidity and a long-lasting and spicy finish. A powerful Mallorcan and good food companion.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meat, game, lamb, stews, aged cheese
Vinification
The grapes come mainly from old vines, which were planted by the grandfather in 1961. After manual harvesting, the grapes are checked again on the sorting table and then fermented at cool temperatures. The two wines are aged separately for 12 months in partly new and partly used French oak barrels before blending takes place. In total, only around 4000 bottles are produced.
