About the wine
There is a lot of history in “Castello di Verduno “, which is now owned by Gabriella Burlotto and Franco Bianco. The big story, that of Savoy and King Charles Albert, and the small story of the Burlotto and Bianco families, which are intertwined around a single great passion for the noblest vines, the Nebbiolo. After fifteen years in Eritrea, in 1950, the commander Giovanni Battista Burlotto left Verduno and considered creating a wine and gastronomic meeting place with the possibility of staying. Now the commander's three daughters and their families passionately dedicate their time to what Verduno Castle is today: hotel, restaurant, wine cellar and farm.

Tasting note
Light garnet red, typical bouquet with notes of cherries, plums and violets, accompanied by hints of licorice and mushrooms, elegant on the palate, with supple tannins and medium richness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta, pizza, meat dishes, game.
Vinification
3 months in steel tanks, it is then partially aged in barriques.
