This outstanding red wine 2016 — Nebbiolo Langhe DOC is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Beni di Batasiolo masters this red wine in the picturesque and fertile countryside of Piedmont. Tasting note
Intense, bright ruby. On the nose, the wine shows a delicate, ripe fruit, plums. This is accompanied by spicy notes. Juicy structure typical of Nebbiolo on the palate. Powerful tannins paired with racy acidity. Here too, the wine is black-fruity and spicy. A successful combination of breed and ripe fruit. Medium-long aftertaste, with good aromatic persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with traditional stews.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine are carefully picked by hand in the first few days of October. Once at the winery, the grapes are destemmed, slightly squeezed and fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about ten days. The young wine is first aged in large oak barrels for six months. The Nebbiolo then rests in the steel tank for some time before it is filled onto the bottles.
