Tasting note
In addition to Sangiovese (central Italy) and Aglianico (southern Italy), the Nebbiolo grape is one of Italy's three classic grape varieties. It is known for the two hundred percent Nebbiolo wines Barolo and Barbaresco. Nebbiolo as an appellation is (still) much less known, although the local grapes produce wines that are entirely in line with modern taste: elegant, delicate, profound, never difficult - just like a great Barolo, from which a good Nebbiolo only differs in its particular freshness and accessible harmony on the palate. The Nebbiolo Langhe from Oberto is a great example: very nice to drink, with a mischievous melt.
